NCAA 100/200m champion, Divine Oduduru, gets PUMA deal

Nigerian Divine Oduduru has signed a major contract with global sports company, PUMA. Divine, the second fastest man in Africa and the NCAA 100m/200m champion, shared the good news on his Instagram page, saying “New stage of life.. Let the game begin with…. Glory Up🙏🙏 @puma #MRINeverExperredIt 🤪”

Divine must have caught the eyes of the sports company when recently in Texas, he won the 100 meters in 9.86 seconds and the 200 meters in 19.73 seconds at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championships in June 2019.

PUMA also signed a deal with 21-year old, Jamaican-born Janeek Brown, who won the 2019 NCAA title in the 100 meter hurdles, in an impressive new Jamaican national record of 12.40 seconds.

According to Pascal Rolling, Global Head of Running Sports Marketing for PUMA in a Press release, “Divine and Janeek are a great fit for the PUMA brand. They both personify our brand mantra ‘Forever Faster’ through their speed and sprinting excellence. Needless to say, we are delighted to welcome these talented athletes to the PUMA family and we look forward to the excitement that they bring to their respective events, and to the sport of Track and Field, in general.
