A man has built a real life Noah's Ark in the beautiful Williamstown, Kentucky, USA.
No, he is not expecting another flood but he wants people from all the nooks and crannies of the world to come to the Ark.
Ken Ham, President and CEO of Answers in Genesis and The Creation Museum said he built the Ark to remind the coming generations of the truth of God's word. According to him, "It's our way of presenting the truth of God's word to the world".
"In a world that is becoming increasingly secularized and biased, it's time for Christians to do something of this size and this magnitude."
The "Ark Encounter" is actually a life sized replica of Noah's Ark in the Holy Bible built as a theme-park attraction. The official ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on the 5th of July 2016 while the grand opening takes place today, 7th of July 2016.
The official ribbon-cutting ceremony was live-streamed and hosted on The Ark Encounter's YouTube channel featuring live musical performances, Bible readings along with the town's mayor, Richard Skinner, cutting the ribbon. About 7000 people attended the event.
Ark Encounter features a full-size Noah’s Ark, built according to the dimensions given in the Bible. Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high. The attraction is expecting at least 1.4 million visitors at Ark Encounter in the first year alone.
