FCT - 250 for Christian Pilgrimage

About 250 intending Christian pilgrims in the Federal Capital Territory are expected to be airlifted for the exercise which will commence soon.

The senator representing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the National Assembly, Senator Philip Aduda, who spoke during the pre-departure orientation exercise for the 2015 FCT intending Christian pilgrims to the holy land, said the exercise has been a huge success over the years.

He said the FCT contingent has not recorded any case of a pilgrim absconding.

"Why would somebody want to abscond in the FCT when all that he needs is here. Don't forget that the FCT is one of the fastest growing cities where all infrastructures and amenities are put in place for the betterment of the residents," he added.

Divine Glory Christian Church marks 8th Year Anniversary: Feauturing Free Community Medical Service for Lagosians

It's Amazing how 8 years is gone by but more amazing are the countless blessings, miraculous breakthroughs, tremendous growth, changed lives, destines, and many more that we have experienced. Truly our God is Strong, Mighty and Faithful.

On 14th October 2007 at about (3pm) Divine Glory Christian Church (then known as Glory Christian Assembly) was inaugurated. The beginning we knew, we are confident that the Future will be more glorious because we know we have a father who is Himself the beginning, in between and the end all together. His word is the sure foundation, upon which we started and today we stand, testifying that He is The FAITHFUL GOD and what a theme for this year’s anniversary!

One outstanding testimony we have thus far is the miracle of changed lives. Men and women who have encountered DGCC can unequivocally testify to the Strength of the Revelation of the Word. This has been the principal instrument of the glorious transformation we have and still experience as a church and a people. We don’t see ourselves in other lights, save what and who God says we are; kings and priest destined to reign in life!

Bishop Cyril Okorocha rejects Governor Okorocha's donation

L-R; Dep Gov, Jude Agbaso, Gov Rochas Okorocha and Rt Rev Cyril Okorocha,

The Anglican Bishop of Owerri, Bishop Cyril Okorocha rejected Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha's donation of N200,000 to the church at the recent diocesan synod of the Anglican Communion which held at St John’s Anglican Church, New Owerri.

The Bishop adduced this rejection to that fact that he felt that Governor Okorocha was inflicting sufferrings on the Imo State through the non-payment of the peoples' salaries and his "inhuman policies".

Apparently the Governor, represented by one Obinna Aharanwa, gave a sum of N200,000 to support the church's development fund.

The Bishop said he did not want the church to share in the blame for the non-payment of salaries and other financial troubles facing the state.

The Bishop stated “Please take your money and return it to the government. If l take this money, lmo people will say that l have collected their pension money and worker’s salary. Go and pay pensioners and workers. I won’t touch this money. We want Governor Rochas Okorocha to publish his stewardship and show us what he is doing with lmo money. We need explanations.”

With this statement, the governor’s representative, Mr Obinna, stormed out of the venue.
