Osun State to build Interdenominational worship centre - Open Heaven Worship Centre

The Osun State government stated, on Tuesday, that it has commenced plans to build an interdenominational worship centre in the state. The centre, to be named 'Open Heaven Worship Centre,' would be sited at both Odo Iju and Ibodi communities.

The State government said it has acquired parcels of farmlands in Atakumosa West local council of the state for the construction of a church.

Muyiwa Ige, the state's Commissioner for Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development, said it had paid N51 million as compensation to farmers whose lands would be used for the church. He said that the compensation was done on humanitarian grounds and the government's commitment to the welfare of the people.

The state government's plan to build a church somehow weakens the argument by critics of Governor Rauf Aregbesola that he was islamising the state.

"It is easy to realise that fraternity is the foundation and pathway of peace. When we have the value of fraternity, a feeling of brotherhood, love and care for one another, many of our problems would not be there.

"Our fraternity is based on the fact that we are all made in the likeness and image of God. Our brotherhood is not based on any factor other than that we are all children of one God.

Former Hillsong Worship Leader, Darlene Zschech, is currently battling Breast Cancer. She disclosed this in her blog some days ago.  Her doctors discovered the cancer during a routine mammogram on Wednesday, December 11 2013.

Darlene said she's already had surgery and was released from the hospital in Sydney on Christmas Eve.

According to her,

My husband and children have been heroic and I can’t thank my family enough for their love and support through this. Our church leadership team have anointed me with oil and prayed with unity and authority, a band of trusted friends have helped me prayerfully and practically, and it is only now that I have felt able to share this with you. To be completely honest, this is not the kind of news anyone ever really wants to tell. However, I have seen two absolute miracles in my body thus far and I know there will be many more to come.
